As we approach the a major seasonal shopping day which is followed by a major gift-giving day, you may be consider if this is the year a bike finds its way under a tree for a little one in your family. If it is, we have our own piece of advice, don’t hide a box away for a couple weeks assuming that you’ll assemble the bike a few days ahead of the big day. Even if you’re a seasoned mechanic or just very handy around bikes, there’s no accounting for Murphy’s Law, and there’s always a chance that a key part will be missing from the box, rendering the bike useless for 5 to 10 business days. That’s our only piece of advice, but we particularly appreciated the Escape Collective’s part buying guide and part discussion of parenting because we are parents who buy bikes for our kids and then teach those kids how to ride bikes.

Wout van Aert has announced his cyclocross agenda, and he’ll be starting on 9 December. Even more importantly, WVA and MVDP will be meeting five times! Gravel World Champion Matej Mohorič will race more gravel in 2024, and hopefully he’ll do more interviews because we can’t get enough of them. If you're emotionally ready to think about the 2025 TDF, then check out the location of the Grand Depart. Six-Day Ghent is off and running. If you’ll be cheering for Wout in December, then this shirt is for you.
