This story isn’t about us in case you were wondering. It’s about a couple of amateur riders 40 years ago. However, this is the type of story that makes us consider “what if” and "perhaps someday” and “why not me”. Admittedly, we’re prone to irrational day dreams—we’ve also been known to watch a super hero movie and consider the same things. Whether you read this article by Escape Collective as inspiration of what is possible or not, we don’t recommend anyone quit their day job this spring in hopes of getting called up to race in the Giro.
The UCI is wasting no time checking brake lever angle. Breakaway riders won the first men’s race of the season—we love these types of results. Cecilia Uttrup won stage 2 of the Tour Down Under and took the overall lead heading into the final stage. If you want to know the overall winner after stage three: here’s the news. Our favorite headline goes to: Mathieu Van der Poel Unstoppable in 2024 after acquiring Lamborghini (note to self: get a Lamborghini before next Zwift race). Listen to the Escape Collective discuss the Women’s TDU. Watch this video and starting planning your cycling van life. This is the shirt we’d wear while performing UCI brake-lever checks.
