We live by one golden rule here at Off The Back: Avoid hyperbole, it’s the absolute worst. It always over promises and under delivers. It drives us crazy—practically to brink of madness. Out of all of the figures of speech, it is the one to be most avoided it you are to be a successful writer. That being said, we were definitely intrigued by the promise of “The Inside Story Behind the Most Insane Bike Change in Pro Cycling History” by Velo. There’s only one way to find out if the hype is real. Check it out for yourself.
We love these photo galleries from Omloop Het Neiuwsblad and Kuurne Brussels Kuurne. Visma-Lease a Bike had a very good “Opening Weekend”. Lennert Van Eetvelt also had a very good weekend. Here are some bike tech trends for cobbled racing. On a more serious topic: an important article on humanizing cyclists. Watch Phil Gaimon’s Mauna Kea KOM. Get this shirt to celebrate last weekend.
